Welcome to a slightly new rhythm here. Moving forward, I'm embracing a quieter, more creative way of sharing—bringing together digital illustrations, short stories, poetry, and Scripture. Think of these posts less as traditional articles and more as little spaces to pause, reflect, and draw closer to God. My hope is that these images and words offer a quiet resting place for your heart.

AN ILLUSTRATED REFLECTION
The Comfort of Chocolate
Cherie exited the elevator, leaving a delicate aroma that would sweeten the antiseptic air for several minutes. Just a few feet in front of her was a waiting area of weary and troubled faces and bodies that sat, stood, and paced. She spotted an empty seat between a sleeping elderly man and a small, round woman who sang a sweet lullaby while cradling a young child wincing in pain. She sat in the rigid chair, resting her chin in her hand. She had prayed for answers, for relief, for some indication of what came next. But the weight of life remained. With a quiet sigh, she removed the lid from the container to reveal the smooth, bittersweet goodness. She closed her eyes as the first spoonful melted on her tongue, its coldness slowly evaporating.
Not a sudden voice,
just a spoonful of quiet—
He meets me right here.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your many blessings, both joyful and difficult. Even when I cannot understand Your ways, I trust that You are working all things together for my good.
When life's burdens feel too heavy and my prayers seem unanswered, help me to "count it all joy". Teach me to recognize the sweetness of Your goodness, even in life's bitter moments.
Quiet my heart when my desires compete with Your will. Give me wisdom to recognize Your direction, courage to follow, and patience to trust Your timing.
Above all, Lord, help me to recognize Your presence in the ordinary moments of life. Let my greatest desire be not simply to discover Your will, but to live it.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Study Challenge
As you read and reflect on these passages, consider the following questions:
Finding Joy: What does it mean to "count it all joy" when facing difficulties? How is biblical joy different from happiness?
Trusting God's Purpose: What can Joseph's story teach you about trusting God when His plans are unclear?
Expressing Anguish: What does Job's story teach you about bringing your pain, questions, and frustrations before God?
Comforting Others: How can you offer compassion and encouragement to someone who is suffering without minimizing their pain?
Recognizing God's Presence: Where might you find small reminders of God's goodness in your everyday life, even when your circumstances haven't changed?
A Final Reflection
God's will may not always be revealed in the answers we seek. Sometimes, our understanding grows as we learn to trust His character, recognize His presence, and follow Him one day at a time.
In His light and joy — always,
Letha
